2020 Ride?

Hi All,

I'm wondering what those who have participated in the the annual ride to Canberra think about the following.

While not yet confirmed it does seem highly likely that the ICS Bike for Bibles event will run again next year based on feedback from those involved at the school. This said of the regulars who ride down only the Newings will actually have kids riding back with the school. Now this hasn't in the past and doesn't in the future stop us riding down but it does make the logistics of getting back a bit more interesting.

In the past week or so Bicycling Australia have announced the introduction of the Mudgee Classic on Sunday 3rd May 2020. Given past scheduling the ICS B4B ride will probably start on 2nd May with the ride to Canberra on Friday May 1st. This which would mean we couldn't do both the ride to Canberra and the Mudgee Classic.

What are your thoughts?

Mudgee Classic is tempting but wine tasting might hinder my participation.

 

We’ve turned the Canberra ride into a yearly family tradition now and have almost booked the motel and restaurants already.

 

I’m in for the Canberra ride can’t beat the group of riders we have.  We don’t want to talk about routes yet do we 😊, but I think the 2018 route probably gets the vote for next year.
