Hi all

For those who want route information... Attached is the directions from the proposed Dave Reynolds Strava route and associated gpx file (if you have a device you want to load into) + a kmz file (if you want to load into google maps etc).

I learnt the hard way it’s a right out of Bugendore and not a left. Pity we aren’t going that way this year ;)

 

Learn from my mistake and download the route or have it your back pocket…

Hello all have a safe ride this year, wish I was with you as I’m somewhat fitter at the moment, anyway. Just a heads up Jerrara Rd has road works pretty much the whole way, about 15k or so. I road it twice a couple of weeks ago by myself with mountain ash thrown in. Be careful in your group there is a few dodgy/rocky surfaces and the road is half width in places. Also throw in a couple of lolly pop people as well. Hope the wind is favourable to you.

Riders, given this information is it worth considering avoiding Jerrara Rd and Ash Mountain road section and riding direct from Marulan to Goulburn?

Kirk, I reckon mountain ash is worth a little inconvenience as it’s a great ride and even better hill to sort the peloton out. Glad I’m not there to bring up the rear. You guys can negotiate the issues I’m sure as I did, single file may be needed at time. No issue Mt Ash Rd
