21-23 ноября 2024 года пройдет международная конференция
«Лингвистический форум 2024: Семантические переходы в языках мира».
Конференция относится к серии ежегодных лингвистических форумов,
начатых Институтом языкознания РАН в 2019; см.

На форуме предполагается обсудить следующие вопросы:
- семантический переход как объект семантической типологии; типы
реализаций семантического перехода: полисемия, семантическая эволюция,
когнаты и др.
- семантический переход в оптике различных подходов: лексическая
семантика, историческая семантика и этимология, лексическая типология,
этнолингвистика, теория метафоры, когнитивная лингвистика, культурная
антропология, ареальная лингвистика
- семантические переходы и праязыковая реконструкция
- семантические переходы и языковые универсалии
- семантические переходы при грамматикализации
- семантические кальки (заимствования семантических переходов)
- когнитивные механизмы семантических переходов
- мотивационные модели и стратегии номинации
- структура полисемии и ее динамика, проблема направления
семантического перехода
- формальные методы представления семантических переходов (графы,
сети, семантические карты, базы данных)
- машинное обучение и автоматизированный поиск семантических переходов
и/или их реализаций в языках мира
- case studies: семантические переходы в отдельных тематических
областях, ареалах и языках
В рамках конференции планируется также проведение воркшопа по работе с
сайтом Базы данных семантических переходов в языках мира

Форма заявки: Имя Отчество Фамилия, место работы или учебы,
электронный адрес, название доклада, аннотация доклада — 150-200 слов.
Место проведения: Москва, Большой Кисловский переулок, д. 1 Институт
языкознания РАН.
Конференция будет проводиться в смешанном формате (очно и
дистанционно). Рабочие языки: русский и английский.
Более полные тексты тезисов (объемом до 15 000 знаков) предполагается
опубликовать до начала конференции. Для этого сообщите о своем желании
организаторам, и Вам будет прислан образец оформления рукописи. Дата
подачи текстов для публикации — до 1 сентября 2024.
Оргвзнос - 1000 руб. (только для очных участников).

From November 21st to 23rd, 2024, the International Conference
"Linguistic Forum 2022: Semantic Shifts in World Languages" will take
place. The conference is part of an annual series of linguistic forums
initiated by the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of
Sciences in 2019; see

The forum aims to discuss the following topics:
• Semantic shift as an object of semantic typology; types of semantic
shift realizations: polysemy, semantic evolution, cognates, etc.
• Semantic shift in the context of various approaches: lexical
semantics, historical semantics and etymology, lexical typology,
ethnolinguistics, theory of metaphor, cognitive linguistics, cultural
anthropology, areal linguistics, natural language processing
• Semantic shifts and proto-language reconstruction
• Semantic shifts and language universals
• Semantic shifts in grammaticalization
• Semantic calques (borrowings of semantic shifts)
• Cognitive mechanisms of semantic shifts
• Motivational models and nomination strategies
• Polysemy structure and its dynamics, the problem of semantic shift direction
• Formal methods of representing semantic shifts (graphs, networks,
semantic maps, databases)
• Machine learning and automated search for semantic shifts and/or
their realizations in world languages
• Case studies: semantic shifts in specific thematic areas, areas, and languages
The conference will also include a workshop on working with the
Database of Semantic Shifts in World Languages website

presentation and abstract (150-200 words).
The conference will be held in a hybrid format (in-person and remote
on zoom). Working languages: Russian and English.
Venue: Moscow, Bolshoy Kislovsky pereulok, 1. Institute of Linguistics
Russian Academy of Sceinces.
Schedule: plenary presentations – 40 minutes, sectional presentations
– 20 minutes.
More detailed abstracts (up to 15,000 characters) are planned to be
published before the start of the conference. To do this, please
inform the organizers of your desire, and a manuscript template will
be sent to you. Deadline for submission of texts for publication - by
September 1, 2024.
Registration fee: 1000 rubles (only for in-person participants).

August 1, 2024 - decision on acceptance / rejection of presentations;
