My operating system is OSX, I have the student license ( mosek.lic ) and I have put it in the following file:
/Users/franciscopipa/Wine Files/drive_c/users/franciscopipa/mosek

I installed mosek also (i had to fill the administrator password to install it). When I try to do something wiht mosek in matlab, I get:

mosekopt returned an error: 1008. [MSK_RES_ERR_MISSING_LICENSE_FILE]

What is happening?!

Thank you!

The correct location is most likely /Users/your-user-name/mosek/mosek.lic

If you a terminal you should do
do $HOME
mkdir mosek

In the directory

./mosek

you should have your license file

  mosek.lic

Good!
What about this:

mosekopt is working correctly.
Warning: MOSEK Fusion is not configured correctly; check that mosek.jar is added to the
javaclasspath.

It appears when I write mosekdiag in matlab

Looks like the toolbox works. If you want to use Fusion follow the installation instructions.

I have the exact same problem as Francisco's. I also did as you suggested.

However, the problem has not been resolved. What could go wrong?

Please create a new post and include whatever error messages you got from MOSEK.

If you using Matlab then please run the command

   mosekdiag

and include the output.

If you see something like

MSK_RES_ERR_MISSING_LICENSE_FILE

you have not installed a license file (properly).

Hello,

Mosek works correctly now. I forgot to run python .. etc

I can summarize the steps to install Mosek on Mac as follows:

1- download Mosek file

2- (Very crucial step) create a directory for the file using

do $HOME
mkdir mosek
./mosek

3- download and place the license (mosek.lic) on the same file

4- run

python <MSKHOME>/mosek/8/tools/platform/osx64x86/bin/install.py
5- run mosekdiag

Let me know if you want me to post it

Best regards,
Ibrahim
