Dear experts

When both the number of antennas at the base station and the number of single-antenna users are large, using the Mosek optimization tool to solve wireless communication optimization problems can result in slow solving speed and high computer memory usage. Is it possible to improve the solving speed and reduce memory usage by modifying the code?

My platform:
Matlab 2024a, Mosek v11.0.0, CVX v2.2, CPU i5-12600kf, Memory DDR4 32G*2

I am looking forward to your reply

Hi,

You are unlikely to meet wireless communication optimization experts on this forum. Perhaps you should ask in a forum more specific to this domain. Maybe there you can get help as to what models are better/worse in that area of application.

Here we can help with Mosek questions if you provide your mathematical problem formulation, task files, logs or other information of that kind. At the moment we don't know what you're feeding into Mosek.

Best,
Michal

Hello!

If I can provide the mathematical formulation of the optimization problem and the corresponding Matlab code, could you guide me on how to modify the code to make the code run faster?

We can take a look to see if there are any obvious things that can easily be improved. Maybe the problem is what it is and perhaps won't solve faster. Until we know more details it is hard to say

Thank you so much! I will prepare the relevant files in the next few days and hope you can provide some guidance.

I suggest you first post the mathematical model, log output and task file https://docs.mosek.com/latest/faq/faq.html#how-do-i-dump-the-problem-to-a-file-to-attach-with-my-support-question

This way we will have an idea of what you are doing, and that can clear most issues.
