Hike to Cathedral Rocks in Pacific Palisades, Sunday, November 27th, 2011

The weekend may be almost over, but let us squeeze in just a little more merriment with a real fun hike before the work week begins! Come join MOSAIC Outdoor Club of Greater Los Angeles for a beautiful hike in the Santa Monica Mountains above Pacific Palisades. Marlisse Marcus will lead a 6 mile round trip, 500 foot elevation gain hike -- a perennial favorite westside hike of the leader. This hike follows along the Temescal Ridge and it is mostly on a nearly flat, wide fire road with the only hard climbs at the beginning. We'll have spectacular views of Santa Monica and the ocean draped in gold at Sunset. The destination is a very nice rock formation (Cathedral Rocks), where we will take a respite and sample each others snacks, before heading back down. Although the hike will be at a social pace, you should be in moderate hiking shape for this hike.

Note: The hike starts in a residential neighborhood, so please minimize disturbance to the neighbors!

IMPORTANT: All MOSAIC events require participants to sign a Liability Release Waiver at the event location. If you would like to read the waiver before the event, you can do so at http://www.mosaicla.org/signin.pdf.
