Hi all -- by day 2 we have a whopping 10% of our maximum survey responses. That's a pretty good sample, but we'll see what else comes in.

In the meantime...

The most popular response overall in the survey is extending the farmers market for full year (even more than having a new health shop in morristown :-O). The second most popular response is that most people get their local organic food at the farmers market. 3rd is having a coop tent at the farmers market. And if that's not enough, people want to pick up on Sunday, mostly twice per month, and they're mostly looking to purchase produce and meat/cheese items--things that are sold AT the farmers market. You see a pattern here?

So, 2 ideas:

We should find out if the vendors at the farmers market have the capability to do a full year market.
And, tomorrow IS the farmers market -- a great opportunity to gather more survey results.

So is anyone up for some social studies? It'll be fun if a couple people could do it...talk to the locals, talk to the vendors, beg for free food....(joking about that last part).

But joking aside, if this coop idea goes nowhere, the farmers market is the best thing we foodies have in Morristown. Local eats, the occasional musical entertainment, and most importantly direct to farmer profits. Shaun and I are making it a commitment to spend at least $20 there per week. We love to see our other food loving friends there -- in fact last week we spent an extra hour there just talking. Nice way to spend a Sunday.

Keep forwarding that survey...who knows what other ideas will come up?

THANKS
