Hello,

I am trying to run Morpheus 2.4.1 on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS (Resolute Raccoon, x86_64, Wayland session) using the official .deb package provided on the download page.

Both morpheus-gui and the CLI crash immediately with a segmentation fault:

  QSocketNotifier: Can only be used with threads started with QThread
  Must construct a QGuiApplication first.
  QObject::connect: Cannot connect (nullptr)::cursorRectangleChanged() to QIBusPlatformInputContext::cursorRectChanged()
  Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I have tried the following without success:
  - QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb and QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland
  - GTK_IM_MODULE='' QT_IM_MODULE='' XMODIFIERS='' (to bypass IBus)
  - IBUS_USE_PORTAL=1
  - WAYLAND_DISPLAY="" DISPLAY=:0
  - Running as root

ldd shows no missing libraries. XWayland is available and responding on :0.

Has anyone encountered this issue on Ubuntu 26.04? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Dear Thomas Carre,

thanks for notifying us about the issue. We identified the problem to be a packaging issue, which is not fully understood yet.

I published a fresh package that we have tested and expect  to work properly also on your side.
