Hello,

What does this mp4 file (from the 2d cell sorting model) represent? I understand that the first graph is a visualization of the cell types and the other two represent adhesion properties and how they change over time, where different colors represent different adhesion strengths. The second graph deals with adhesion property 'b' which I think represents how cell type 1 adheres to other cells of type 1 and the third graph deals with adhesion between cell type 2 and cell type 1. However which color represents what? And what exactly are the adhesion properties? Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Elaine

Hi Elaine,

you're right about the left plot, which shows cell type 'ct1' in red and 'ct2' in yellow. As for the other two plots, the colors don't refer to the cell types, but to some topological properties of each cell. First, in the middle, there is a value given for every cell that indicates the number of neighbors of the other cell type. And on the right, not the number of cells is summarized, but the length of all contacts of a cell to neighboring cells of a different type.

We'll add this information also shortly to the results section of the corresponding model page in the MorpheusML model repository: https://identifiers.org/morpheus/M0021

You can find many more of the built-in example models in our model repository with further explanations, figures/videos and references.

Best regards,
Diego
