System time-scaling constant

Hi all,

I am currently interested in investigating the effects of different time-scales of my ODE system on my simulation results. I plan on running sweeps with different time-scaling factors but it does not seem to let me insert a constant name in the time-scale field, it has to be numeric. Is there a way to bypass this?

Hi Jessica,

true, this solver parameter is a numerical value and currently cannot be given by a Symbol. However, the bypass is straight forward: you multiply all right hand sides of your ODEs by this scaling factor. An example is here:

where the Global/Constant tau sets the time scale. You can sweep over tau.
