Hello everyone,

I am having some issues trying to convert a PDE equation to ODE. I am currently working with the RHORACECM.xml file. I tried to convert all of the equations to ODE. However, I keep getting the error model can't be initialize and how the Symbol Focus is not available.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Hi Megan,

thanks for your question. That should work by replacing all Field elements in Global by Variables and keeping the same Symbol names. The System of DiffEqn itself can stay as it was. I've also adjusted the Plots under Analysis, maybe your attempt still tried to plot x-dependencies and that caused the Symbol Focus error...

Attached is a model file that runs the ODEs (note that you may need to change initial conditions as they were originally x-dependent) and corresponds to this PDE model: https://identifiers.org/morpheus/M2061

Best,
Lutz

Hi Dr. Lutz,

Thank you so much for the fast reply! I am still very new with Morpheus and I really appreciate the help. I had another question to ask. I want then to pair these equations with a CPM model where the RAC-RHO would be internal system and the ECM would be effecting this ratio. I wanted to know if I was on the right path about my thinking. I wanted to move the following equations then into the cell type area: dr/dt, dp/dt, dri/dt, dpi/dt. I would then keep dE/dt, fp1, and fr1 in the global section to be apart of the ECM or the medium in this case. Or would de/dt,fp1, and fr1 be placed within the cell-type but as a medium?

Thank you so much!

Megan
