Line breaks

I feel like this is a dumb question but I'd better ask anyway. Am I
supposed to put in line breaks? That's what the Project Gutenberg
documentation says but I was wondering whether that was done in post.

Depends on what you mean by line breaks. :) 

If you mean whether you should put blank lines in between paragraphs, yes, you need to put them in. (And that's actually in the project guidelines under "In General" -- see http://unbindery.bencrowder.net/projects/eich/guidelines/.)

If that's not what you mean, can you send an example?

Sorry. What I should have said is carriage returns at the end of
lines�<br> in html.
