Hi,
I have a Morgan Giles 30 called Prima Donna, I have a problem with the mild steel plates that are glassed in on the inside of the hull and form the anchors that
provide the structural support to the chain plates. The exposed sections which turn out under the deck hull joint have become corroded and failed an insurance
survey. Has anyone else had this problem? These are all difficult to get to with the cap shrouds behind the main bulkhead I really do not want to take that out!
I have been considering lots of different options but would welcome any advice or ideas.
The backstay plate has also corroded so needs to be replaced but this is accessible so I can cut it out and get a stainless steel replacement made.
