Thanks for your message, send me a picture of your Morgan Giles 30 when you get the chance. I actually bought Prima Donna from Newport Usk Mouth round to Falmouth then subsequently Southampton where she is now. So I have a little experience on the Bristol Channel and the huge tidal range!

I would be quite interested in getting the contact site going and establishing a real association for owners of these wonderful boats. See a pic below in Cowes before the round the island 2010

Keep in touch

Regards

Hello Peter and All,

I have not followed the site recently which Tony set up, but has anyone taken it on?
I think your suggestion is quite perfect.
My own MG30 has been out of the water for the last two years as I have been doing
a great deal of work to her, nearly finished looking at re launching early 2012.
I am involved in putting together an event for 2012 based on the Three Peaks Challenge
to be called the Bristol Channel Challenge with three shore based stages as well as
yachts having to deal with our "exciting" tide challenges etc in the Bristol Channel!
The event over three days to take in North Devon, The Gower and finish on Lundy
during the longest day - 21st June.
Perhaps other MG30 crews may like to join in as part of a cruise? It should be going
public and in the sailing press at the end of the year.

Regards to all owners,
Paul Chapman.

Hi, not sure if people are still looking at this site but I am considering doing something to recognise that it will be 50 years since the inception of the Morgan Giles 30 or at least that is how I read the history? I am thinking of sailing around the UK in my boat Prima Donna and perhaps plan to meet up with as many other Morgan Giles 30 boats as I can on the journey? Just thought I would share this idea with you. I would be interested to hear from all you owners out there?

Bye for now,

round
