Hi all,
We have owned Pearl Seeker for nearly 10 years now and purchased her
to sail the atlantic ocean. We crossed in 2003/4 in 18 days from the
Cape Verde Islands - St Lucia. The crossing was the most pleasant
since leaving the UK.
Pearl Seeker was fitted with an aries wind vane and we crossed the
atlantic with twin jibs and a twizzle rig. She manged top boat speed
5/6 knots the whole way across - 125 nautical miles each day until the
last 60 miles.
It was a great trip and Pearl Seeker looked after us well.
Pearl Seeker is now back it the UK.
Fair winds and good seas!

Pearl Seeker is in the UK about as far away from the sea as possible. We are back working in the UK at a busy watersports centre teaching sailing, windsurfing etc. and have no time for sea sailing in the summer months. In the winter we sail in the Carribean in a Tayanna V42 - we out grew Pearl Seeker.
We do hope to put Pearl Seeker back on the water some time in the future.
