Below is the Job description:
Application DBA, with UNIX Skill sets. Unix is the foundation we use with Shell Scripting to load to the Oracle DB.
- Shell and Pl-SQL Script Creation.
- Application DBA Skills and/or Toolsets required: Oracle, TOAD, SQL Tuning, UNIX, SQL Loader, PL/SQL
- Application DBA : Schema create, upgrade, Schema Refresh, Update changes, Approving DB object changes for new release, writing scripts for automation of common ADBA tasks
- Performance DBA : Query tuning, Initialization parameter tuning, Memory pool tuning
The application DBA focuses on database design and the ongoing support and administration of databases for a specific application or subset of applications. The application DBA is likely to be an expert at writing and debugging complex SQL and understands the best ways to incorporate database requests into application programs. The application DBA must also be capable of performing database change management, performance tuning.
Profile requires daily working in shift of 3 pm to Midnight India time. Also requires occasional night support and weekend working.
