We have and the major differences is:
- You don't get an efficient induction of osteolineage cells in particular
- Reduce vascularisation (hypoxia favours this)
- Lymphoid induction also favoured by the low oxygen conditions (+ IL7)
- HSPC/HSC behaviours quite different (type better with adult post low O2 as per pre-print, we've fleshed this out more in the revisions we are working on so watch this space).
Note that if you're interested it's worth looking at the original BMO paper (Khan et a. Cancer Discovery) and the Frenz-Weissner BMP paper (Nature Methods). Frenz Weissner don't use low O2, and their data/single cell at day 45 and flow are quite different.
