My parents made a point of incorporating visits to Civil War Battlefields on every summer vacation. Once as an 11-year-old, I corrected the Civil War Historic Interpreter about his factual inaccuracy at a National Battlefield site. My mom continues to remind me of this slightly embarrassing incident (at least for the interpreter!).

The second battlefield our family visited was Antietam National Battlefield. There was an immediate pull because the area was so pristine even though little of the park at that time (early1970s) was incorporated into the current acreage. Despite my youth, I already had an understanding of the battlefield layout, thanks to me devouring the few books/maps available for kids at that time.

Over the years, I expanded my interest in history and narrowed my depth of focus. After college graduation, I went to work for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. During my years working for the U.S. Government, I developed and executed multiple staff rides at Civil War Battlefields for analysts and military personnel increasing my own interest in battlefield interpretation.

I enjoy so much the wonderful people associated with Antietam, from the generous park service staff, my fellow volunteers, the welcoming group of Licensed Battlefield Guides, and especially all the inquisitive visitors. Finally, what I love most about Antietam is its potential. New sources continue to surface, along with the acquisition of new land resulting in the dynamic and changing interpretation of the Maryland Campaign.

Welcome to the official site for the Antietam Battlefield Guide Association. The Antietam Guides are a group of historians dedicated to providing outstanding interpretive tours of the Antietam Battlefield, as well as other sites related to the Maryland Campaign of 1862. The Antietam Guides are booked through the Antietam National Battlefield Museum Store. This site offers a listing of our battlefield guides, as well as updates about our programs, what our guides are up to, and information about Antietam National Battlefield. We hope to see you at the park soon!

IGN's Battlefield V complete strategy guide and walkthrough will lead you through every step of Battlefield V from the title screen to the final credits, including finding every Letter and completing all Challenges.

The War Stories represent the Single Player campaign. They are broken up into 4 sections (3 available on launch). Each one will have you playing out a specific era during the war. The 4 sections are then broken down into levels, with each one containing around 4 levels a piece.

If you are new to Battlefield you can start them on the lowest level to get used to the gameplay. I had never played battlefield before I played but after years of Call of Duty it is all pretty much the same so I started on Hardcore straight away.

There are 3 achievements related to the difficulty in which you chose to complete the War Story on. They are Medium, Hard and Hardcore. These achievements are stackable. So if you play on Hard, you will also unlock the Medium achievement. If you play on Hardcore, you will unlock the Medium and Hard. The achievements are:

Your objective here is to gain access to the hanger and plant explosives on the Stuka and then shoot down a few planes using an AA gun. You need to be very quiet and take it easy on this level. There are many guards around but you can get by most of them without being seen.

After passing the first guards you encounter I followed the wire fence up and to the left of the front of the compound. Be careful not to go too high as there are guards patrolling the area. From there I crawled down to the back to the hanger you need to gain access to. There are a few guards around but you can distract them with a lure to move them away from you, once their back is turned you can melee them to keep the noise down.

Once that is over you need to be fast and run to your left and then forward to the AA gun to destroy the planes. I found this part a little frustrating but you can complete it on your first go. Once you're in the AA gun none of the guards come near you.

Now a few points, there aren't really any guards around outside the objective apart from a truck that drives around. It doesn't matter what objective you got to first. If you do get into trouble though run away from the objective and the guards do stop chasing you. Then when you go back it is like nothing happened. There are also alarm points in each objective. They will show if you use your binoculars to see them. If you can try and destroy them as it means if you do give your position away they can't call for back up.

Airfield - There is a big hill behind the airfield which sets up a great vantage point to look around. If you have a sniper rifle then good. If not, there will be a few in the guard towers. Sneak in, kill the guard and get the rifle. Using this you can start picking them off one by one. If they find your spot then run away and come back. Once all the guards are dead, destroy the 2 ammo dumps and that's one down.

Bunker - I managed to get through this part with only 1 kill. I approached it from the deserted land in front of the bunker. Killed one guard patrolling on the edge and round the back of the bunker and in to destroy it.

Village - 1 of the objectives is on the edge of the village and really easy to destroy. The other is at the back. I would recommend killing the guards around the outside objective. Go upstairs in the building next to them and start killing off the other guards. then head up to the back objective, destroy that and then finish off the one you passed earlier.

By far the hardest of the 3 and 3rd overall in my view. You need to hold off attacks from the enemy, while your mate sits up the tower to provide support. The enemies come in waves, troops first followed by tanks then more troops then plane and more troops and tanks. After you complete each wave you will hit a checkpoint. There are loads of weapons around the place as well as an AA gun for the planes and a Flank gun for the tanks.

Kills the troops as quickly as possible. I used a lot of running around and thus not staying in the same position too long. Then use the flank gun for the tanks and the AA gun for the planes. The last set of tanks that attack you come right up to where you are. I picked up the Panzerhurst and hide at the back behind the wall. When the tank came close enough that's when I hit it with the rockets.

When the cut scene happens, make sure you watch it till the end. After I completed the last Act on the final story mode I had to come back and watch the cut scene again to get the achievements to pop.

This is a very long-winded mission. You need to rescue a hostage from a compound. You start off on skis. There aren't many enemies around but keep to the sides to avoid anyone. Once you hit the first bridge go under it and pick up the silenced M1911. After the bridge, there are a few enemies sitting around and talking. Head to the left and around the back of the buildings. There may be one guard you have to kill. You will head up the hill and towards the compound. Head to the left and around the back. There are a few enemies you will have to take out. Then climb over the pipes into the building and from there into the connecting building. You will hit a cut scene once you open the door.

Once you rescue the woman she wants to find some documents. There is an LMG right outside the door. Grab that and follow the woman. While she is messing around for the documents hide and kill anyone who comes towards you. After she has her documents she will tell you to meet her back at the bridge you first crossed.

After she is gone you will need to destroy 2 circuit boxes. This is the most annoying part of this level. When you first go outside you will encounter an enemy with a flamethrower. If you hit him with a headshot, he staggers. You then have to smash as many rounds into him as possible. There are a few other enemies around. Kill them and head back towards the bridge. Most of the guards you have seen on your way to the compound are gone. There are 2 guards at the bridge where you went under across the fallen tree. One at the gate and the other just behind him in the dark. Kill them and head towards the bridge where you got the M1911. You will hit a cut scene.

You start in a valley after you survive the fall from the bridge. This act is annoying as you need to follow the lights of the fire. You can't make a run for it all the way without getting a heat or you will die quickly. At the first fire, there is only 1 guard. Get a heat and take his gun. In the next one, there are 2. Again kill them and get a heat. The last part is very annoying. After the 2nd fire, I moved over to the left avoiding the guards up on the hill. As you come around following the frozen river there will be 3-4 guards around a fire. I managed to get past them by moving to the left and around them. Then run to the end and a cut scene will happen again.

This act is the same as the Under No Flag Act 2. You have an open map and the same rules apply. You need to attack and destroy Heavy Water. There are 2 stores. one in a truck in one of the houses and the other in the sub.

The final objective is to get inside a bunker. Grab the sniper rifle from the guard tower. I then headed out into the open and took the guards out covering the entry point. Went to the right and took out a few more of the guards and ran inside.

This act is all about capturing and holding the objectives. You need to push as fast as you can to avoid being killed. If you stay the computer troops on your team will not move and the enemy will keep spawning. So the hold back method will not work. Push and capture the objective. You will then have to destroy 3 field guns. Grab some remote explosives. I died many times attacking the guns, but once you get to one of them and destroy it, life gets a bit easier.

You will then need to attack and hold another objective which leads to the final part of the act. Same rules apply from the start of this act. I ran up to the right of the massive bunker. The final part is the most annoying part of the whole act. You have to defend the area from troops, troop transports and a tank. Grab a Panzerfaust. I ran to the far left and started taking out the troops. Then use the Panzerfaust to destroy the troop transport. The tank comes from the right-hand side from a little dirt road. I tried many different methods to try and destroy it.
