Recently, the U.S. Supreme Court made a ruling on files sharing. The
court said that even a product or service with a legitimate use can be
the basis of a suit if the defendant encouraged copyright violations.
In this case, the court ruled that Grokster and StreamCast Networks
Inc. had set up their systems with the "unmistakable" goal of
encouraging copyright
infringement.
