Hello

I have built a model in FLUENT, and would like to perform MOR on the model to accelerate the calculation.

I read some literature, it seems that MOR is only possible for finite element method. But FLUENT is based on finite volume method...

1. Is it possible to extract the system matrices from FLUENT?

2. Is it possible to perform MOR on this model?

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Best

Han

Unfortunately it is impossible to obtain system matrices from Fluent.
Theoretically this could be possible but this feature is not available.

It should be possible though to build a model in ANSYS Mechanical by
using convection boundary conditions from Fluent and if necessary
FLUID116 to model the temperature in a channel.

Hi Evgenii

Thank you very much for your reply !!! It was very nice of you~~~

Is it possible to build a model in ANSYS CFX then apply MOR for ANSYS then ?

The system matrices in CFX, as far as I know, also unavailable.

MOR for ANSYS can read system matrices in the Matrix Matrix format.
Hence if you find a way to get system matrices from any software, you
can use MOR for ANSYS after that.
