Make Slideshow work with iPads and other touchscreens?

Hello,

I love Mootools Slideshow! It works great on my web site on laptops and desktops, but the sliding thumbnails are awkward on a touchscreen like an iPad or other smart device.

Is it possible to set up this slide show so that on an iPad, I could touch and slide the thumbnails back and forth? As it is now, if I touch one end or the other of the slideshow thumbnails, the thumbnails start moving and don't stop, they race across the screen.
