Presentation of Data in MOOSE Framework Video

Hello all,

On the home page of the MOOSE framework website in the embedded video titled "Multiphysics Object-Oriented Simulation Environment (MOOSE)" various values are plotted as a function of time.
On these plots there is a visual marker which shows the current simulation time on the plot. I was wondering how this feature was integrated into the plot, was this accomplished using paraview? Or was another platform used to create the presentation graphics?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The plot for this movie was made using EnSight, which we no longer use. However, it is possible to build such a movie with our in house tool called chigger: http://www.mooseframework.org/moose/utilities/python/chigger/index.html. As this page indicates this tool is still under development, but you can find an example of doing what you want with the line plot in the python/chigger/tests/line/tracer.py test.

There is also the AnnotateTimeFilter in ParaView that should do exactly what you want.

Also, one should mention that ParaView has a python trace option that allows you to get the python code for each filter. Then you can further customize your filters into some loop (saving screenshots of a specific set of filters and camera angles iteratively for example).
