center of the universe. He would ignore anything that could remind him
of his real surroundings, and relies solely on his illusions, both of
himself and the outside world. Then, he progressively becomes aware of
the principle of reality. Certain adults, however, fail to grow beyond
such childish egocentrism, enabling them to substitute
self-satisfaction with self-criticism. This is precisely what is
happening to us, both the Arab nation as well as the elites. "
