I've tried: Using the mouse instead of graphics tablet pen, restarting Krita, changing brushes, using the eraser keyboard shortcut, using the button on the menu bar, and using the button on my pen to select the eraser.

I use Photo iPad V2 Affinity. When I select the eraser and choose the -> simple round pencilmode, only a part is erased (so about 50%). At the same time I have the eraser at 100% opacity (shpild erase all with one move over). I have to erase over it many times until all is erased. If I choose oil pen mode, then everything is erased with one move/100% opacity. Where is the error: in the software? Or in the logic? I can't work like this if I have to erase several times over the spots, despite 100% opacity.

I seem to have lost my Region eraser. When I use the two finger gesture it only erases what is under the pencil nib and in the toolbar I can only change the width of the eraser. I can't see the Region eraser anymore.

I'm sure I used to be able to remove parts of a line for example in the old skitch, but can't find an eraser tool anywhere. I want to make a dashed line, but I can't see an option to create a dashed line, and now I can't find a way to remove parts of a solid line to make it dashed.

Please bring back the eraser! I must not be using Skitch much anymore since I just noticed it's missing, but now I have to look for another tool. I want to be able to use Skitch like a physical notepad--drawing and erasing at will!

Removal of the eraser? What on earth were you thinking? I've just started using Skitch and assumed I was just missing something obvious in not being able to erase anything. It's a fundamental part, and when I'm trying to jot handwritten things alongside images and making a mistake deleting the entire section is not a viable option.

Why does the eraser act like a paintbrush. I'm editing Minecraft textures for a map with custom resource pack and yet when I erase a pixel, it slightly erases any pixels near it, like the paintbrush tool. It's driving me insane, how do I stop it!?!?

I already own the Omnilux Contour Face mask (which i love!) but get pimples every once in a while so was happy to see Omnilux launch the new blemish eraser for those random breakouts that pop up at the worst of times. I could feel a painful pimple coming a couple days before Thanksgiving and the Blemish Eraser got rid of it in less than 2 days and I had zero sign of any breakout during the holiday. I'm not joking when I say this little device packs a punch. thanks Omnilux for another great product!

There isn't just one best eraser for watercolor paper, there are two. You'll need both for erasing before you paint in watercolor. And one for erasing your drawing after you have painted. If you really have to, and I have some advice on that too!

When the eraser gets dirty, clean it before using it on your watercolor paper. Rub it repeatedly on a clean sheet of paper to remove the graphite residue. That way the residue won't be end up as a smudge on your paper. Smudges are harder to remove than drawn lines.

The first eraser will do the same of course, but good as it is, there is much more of a risk of you damaging the fibres in the top layer of the paper. And it leaves behind little dark rolls of eraser that need brushing off the paper.

The putty eraser doesn't leave bits on your paper, it absorbs all the pencil lead. So, over time, it will change color and darken. Remember to regularly fold the portion you have used into the eraser so that it doesn't deposit some of the graphite it has picked up back onto the paper.

NOTE. Just as it is good at absorbing pencil lead, it is too at incorporating within it any dust/grit on its surface. So to avoid that happening keep the putty eraser in a small sealed plastic container - this one comes with its own.

If you want to erase a part of your drawing that has lots of lines and/or has been shaded in pencil. First use the putty eraser to lift the majority of graphite and then the plastic eraser to give you a clean finish.

End of a pencil erasers. The rubber is so small that before you know it, even if it is a good quality pencil, its metal surround will be scratching your paper. Most do not lift graphite well, and they leave a lot of crumbs to have to take care of.

And. Careful as you may be, some of the surrounding color will be removed as well. On a pale light wash it won't be as noticeable. But on a darker wash, or of several layers, it will. You only have to look at the color of the eraser crumbs to see what has been removed.

The second is that if you attempt to erase a pencil line close to an area that has been painted with a thick consistency of watercolor pigment - such as the final darkest darks of your painting when you are painting wet onto dry and with a near pure pigment buttery consistency - I'm thinking of the final touches to the pupil of an eye in a watercolor portrait painting - then you are at serious risk of the eraser/rubber actually lifting and smudging that pigment over the area that you are working on. Even if the paint is 100% dry.

Pencil lines that haven't been painted over can be erased by either the plastic eraser or the putty eraser. For fine details, especially in your focal point area - such as that eye I told you about - I would always opt for dabbing gently with the putty eraser versus rubbing with the plastic eraser. Much less risk of moving surrounding pigment.

If it doesn't include a digital eraser I would consider this an enormous downside. Does the Bamboo Pen & Touch have a pen with an eraser? If it does, I would think about it but honestly I don't want the "touch" part considering how terrible it seems to be compared to a normal trackpad.

I have the Bamboo Pen (CTL-460) and I can confirm that the pen lacks an eraser. However, the pen has two buttons on the side, and I have programmed one of them to function as an eraser. That way, instead of flipping the pen over, I can just hold the button and erase.

The Bamboo Splash does not have an eraser, but it also doesn't have the touch functions. Plus, some reviews praise the downloadable software that comes with the tablet, and the no touch function allows you to put your hand wherever you want.

I have an drawing app for Android and I am currently trying to add a real eraser to it. Before, I had just used white paint for an eraser, but that won't do anymore since now I allow background colors and images. I do this by having an image view underneath my transparent canvas.

There are several other posts about erasers, but most of them just say to use PorterDuff.Mode.CLEAR, setMakFilter(null) and that that should work. In my case, it doesn't. No matter what I try, I get the black trail first and then the desired result only after I release.

I would like to use my Asus pencil to take handwritten notes on excalidraw. However it is bothersome to the workflow to manually switch to the eraser everytime I have to erase something. Is it possible to assign the button on the pencil to do this like it does on OneNote for example?

I just bought a Faber Castell kneaded eraser and it is softer than the regular kneaded erasers and kneads really easy and picks up things like eraser crumbs wonderfully! Also works on the pastels just push it down on the area you want to erase and lift it off or dab it, using a clean spot each time, it works great!
