When the family organizer turns on purchase sharing, everyone in your family gets access to apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books that family members buy. The family organizer is billed for family members' purchases. Family members can find shared content on the Purchased page in the App Store, iTunes Store, Apple Books, or Apple TV app. Learn what kinds of content you can and can't share.
When purchase sharing is turned off, you stop sharing your purchases and lose access to the purchases made by your other family members. However, you can continue to share subscriptions like Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade, but everyone must use their own payment method for purchases.
If you want to see and approve what kids download, set up Ask to Buy. When a child asks to buy apps, movies, or other content, the family organizer receives a notification and can approve or decline the request right from their device.
I set up family sharing, my family members are able to locate the apps in their iphones and download them, but if they are not FREE apps, and I already paid for them, they are being asked to subscribe and pay again?
In-App purchases are not supported by Family Sharing. So if your children are playing games with the pseudo-currency, or if they are playing games that require in-app purchases to get to the full version these you would be paying for twice. Most apps are now compatible for Family Sharing. However, developers do have the option to opt out of enabling their apps to be used with Family Sharing. When you are viewing the description of the app in the App Store, there is now a label that will say Family Sharing. If it says yes, that means the app is compatible with Family Sharing and can be redownloaded by other family members, before the existence of Family Sharing.
Apart from these, you will be able to share your location, iCloud Storage, Apple Arcade, Apple Music, Screen Time, and review app store purchases with up to six users added in the family sharing group.
I know there is a caviat saying not all purchases are available in family sharing so perhaps I'm unlucky with my last three purchases. I'm part of a family sharing scheme with my husband. He is the account holder. I purchased 3 puzzle type apps with my iTunes balance rather than have to use his credit card. Not one of the apps shows up as purchases on his iPad when according to Apple the blurb on family sharing says all purchases on all members devices. In the past I've noticed music my husband purchased has been available on my device but now I notice if I try to download a song that he purchased it comes up with a message, not sure of the exact wording but along the lines of if I download it I'll not be able to use another device (maybe an account?) for three months? Is this a glitch of IOS 9.2? I've looked at settings, family purchases shows on my iPad and my husbands. I don't know where else to look or what else I should check. Has anyone else got this problem? if someone has successfully got family sharing working after IOS 9.2 please woukd you let me know what you had to do. Thank you for reading this.
It seems like you are having issues seeing both shared and individually purchased content on your iPad, as a member of Family Sharing. The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great pointers and advice for what to do when you are not seeing purchased content on your device:
When your family members join Family Sharing, they should confirm the Apple ID that they want to use for iTunes, Apple Music, iBooks, and App Store purchases. Even if they're signed in with the same Apple ID for iTunes and iCloud, they need to confirm their iTunes information before they can share their content.
Apple already provides a way to share apps between family members in Family Sharing. The feature lets you invite anyone in your family, up to a maximum of six people, into a shared account that includes all of your App Store purchases and more, so long as the app supports Family sharing.
They'll now have the option of sharing their own personal purchases with the rest of the family. Now they can head into the Family Sharing settings, and see the Organizer, and what features are being shared.
They can also navigate to the app store and search an app that other family members have already purchased. When they reach the app's page, it will show that they need to purchase it. Simply back out of the app, and tap on the user profile.
You'll instantly see other family members under the Family Purchases section. Just tap on a member, and you'll see the list of purchased apps that are shared. Simply tap the download from iCloud button. We've now downloaded and are playing the game that was previously purchased by the family member.
If you tap on Purchase Sharing, you can disable Share My Purchases. This means that the other family members can still share their own purchases, but they won't have access to yours.
I just purcahsed a life-time infuse pro for my family. all my family members are in my apple family group. However, accordning to the family share option from infuse website,

Apps that offer auto-renewable subscriptions or non-consumable in-app purchases can enable Family Sharing in App Store Connect to let people share access with up to five family members. With a streamlined, convenient experience, Family Sharing can help you attract subscribers, encourage paid subscriptions, increase engagement, and improve retention.
Family members can also share an iCloud Storage Plan for backing up photos, videos, files and documents. There is a choice of 200GB or 2TB, both of which are shareable. Apple has ensured that family members cannot access each other files, but they can see the amount of storage being used.
The Apple Family Sharing feature also lets you share Apple Music among your family members. However, you need to purchase the Apple Music Family Plan priced at Rs.149* per month. Each family member will get their own Apple Music account with a personal music library and recommendations, but the cost is significantly lesser than six individual subscriptions. Similarly, family members also get access to other Apple subscription services such as Apple Arcade, Apple TV+ and Apple News.
The Apple Family Sharing feature is a great way to share apps, content and subscription services without giving up your Apple ID password with family members. It offers convenience and security while also saving money. The feature is worth trying out, and to keep yourself updated about such great features and tech updates, make sure you keep following us at www.reliancedigital.in.
I have 2 headsets and I put family share on the headset and log into a secondary account and log into the other with my account so we can play 2 player games and it has worked fine so far that way... beat saber add one do NOT currently share as they should just fyi before purchasing to share if you decide to
I have the same issue, we purchased 3 headsets to play as a family however we can't share purchased games. I've asked chat support and 1 headset can have multiple accounts, it doesn't seem right that a family with multiple headsets can't do 1 purchase and link so everyone have access.
Each adult who is included will still use their own individual Apple account to access the shared content. For children under 13 years of age, you can create a child account for them to access certain content. The family organizer (and one other adult) are then able control the content the child can view and use.
To share iCloud space with other family members, you will need an iCloud subscription with either 200GB of storage at $2.99 a month or 2TB of storage at $9.99 a month. Otherwise, you will need an Apple One Family plan ($22.95 per month) or Premier plan ($32.95 per month). If you currently have the free 5GB iCloud plan or the $0.99/month 50GB plan, you will be prompted to upgrade before adding iCloud to your family sharing.
Each family member can view the other members as well as the settings for each account. Members can select the Subscriptions option to see which services are available to them. By choosing Purchase Sharing, members can confirm that any media, books, and apps purchased by another family member are automatically shared among the entire family.
Enpass subscriptions are in-app purchase, for which family sharing is technically not possible. To know more about sharing the content purchased from app store with family, you can read Apple Support guidelines and Google Play Help guidelines.
That's it! After tapping the family member you'd like to download content from, you'll see a list of their content along with a cloud icon. Just tap the cloud icon to download the item. Now, you can share your purchases with your family members. For more great Family Sharing tips, like how to hide purchases from Family Sharing, sign up for of free Tip of the Day newsletter.
Apple added support for "Share In-app purchases with Family" to the Family Sharing in late 2020, and Sorted has also provided Family Sharing support for all PRO items from December 2020. From now on, you can easily share the PRO you purchased with members of the same iCloud family, or share the PRO purchased by a member of the iCloud family.
