Subject: RGEFP Update: Final Report Submissions
Importance: High
Congratulations Teams! The flight week was a tremendous success and I hope all of you had a amazing time during your stay here in Houston. Hopefully you have all arrived home safely and will begin reviewing your data for your final reports. A couple reminders as we move along to some of the post flight week activities.
1.) Final Reports:
a. Final Reports are due by close of business on Wednesday, August 7th. Please submit directly to the Microgravity University website. I have attached a basic outline of what we suggest you include in your final report. Please feel free to include additional items as you see fit. If you have a mentor, please submit to them to review at least 2-3 weeks in advance of the submission so they can provide input and suggestions as needed. This is the final document we ask from you for participation in the program and the documentation of your results is important in reviewing your success during the flight program.
2.) Outreach Activities:
a. There is a place to record all “outreach” activities under the final report tab. You can go in and add all activities you have performed prior to the flight week and will complete in the coming weeks. Please make sure to create a separate entry for each outreach activity. This helps us track your work based on your original proposal and see what events/actions you have completed. Please be as thorough as possible.
3.) Participant Video:
a. Each team will need to submit a 3-5 minute video highlighting their participation in the program. Be creative and fun here and include details about the uniqueness of your team and your experiments. You can post on the web, but please make sure I have either a copy of the video or url for the video when you submit your final report.
4.) Press Release:
a. Please see attached a form press release for you to use to promote your participation in the program.
We appreciate all of your hard work to make the flight week and the flight program a success. Please use this opportunity to promote this program and other NASA opportunities to others in your college/university. I look forward to reviewing your final reports and seeing your program videos. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
James Semple l JSC Strategic Education Alliance l NASA Education Specialist
