Aux MCU ver 0.64, main 0.75 bundle 3

when press and scrolling going down the alphabet  once the MP goes from a to _ it reboots and shows the bootup animation. this is repeatable

there also seems to be a change, I can no longer scroll backwards through the list, i.e. from a straight to z, i have to go the long way.

Hello Chris!

I'm guessing you had a mini and imported credentials to the Mini BLE.
On bundle v3 we implemented several checks which triggers this behavior in case the database shows oddities.
Could you :
- go into credentials management mode
- find services that have 2 or more logins
- find the service for which you can visualize one login but not the other (using the "eye" icon)
- delete that login
- save changes
- add that login manually again :)

Yes it was from a mooltipass mini import, and prior to that it was an original mooltipass with the awesome touch buttons!

In credentials management mode I couldn't see any password by pushing the eye, I see the normal prompt "please approve on the device" but the MP doesn't show the prompt and after a couple of seconds moolticute says "password query was denied"

However what I noticed was 3 duplicate services when scrolling through on the device itself. I saved the passwords from those services manually (painful as one of them was named zz for quick access and I couldn't scroll up and it had 10 credentials saved!) I then deleted those logins and confirmed that the issue was resolved, then manually added them back in.

I have also noticed the lock/unlock feature has stopped working?

Hello Chris,

Glad it got resolved :)
Could you double check for the lock/unlock feature? I didn't get any reports :)

Hi Mathieu,

I had this issue again with the database, I think I know how to trigger it..

I have migrated from the original MP to the Mini to the MiniBLE. I have 2 devices that I use, one is the stay at home one.. the other is my travel one. I like to keep both up to date and use the database backup monitoring each time I update/change a password. and this seemed to be when I was seeing the issue.. if adding credentials and taking backups its not an issue, but exporting then importing triggers the issue.

to trigger the issue:
add a new username and password to an existing service (originally created on the mini)
backup the database
load the database to the device (this is the key)
-> error happens

to resolve:
scroll through the services on the device looking for duplicates
any duplicates need to be removed using credentials management

My concern is if others are exporting but haven't required to import for a while they may have quite a few errors when they do need to import

As for the lock unlock feature.. on my work computer it is extremely delayed response when I pull the card out.. usually 5-10sec, sometimes 30seconds or more, most likely due to the security *features* of the work computer. on my home computer its working fine. Is there also a change with the PC locking the MP? If I Win+L my Mooltipass turns off BT and Locks :) this is a super cool feature, and also means I pull the card way less often now

And a huge thankyou as I get a notification regarding thingiverse hack.. just as well i have had a Moolitpass for years and its a unique password. I did notice that I cant see any date in the modified date,  was this a feature added in the Mini?

Cheers,

Chris

Hello Chris,

This issue happens as your mini database contains duplicated services, which can't be visualized in credential management mode.
If you'd like, I could get a deeper look at your database: simply enable debug logs, enter credentials management mode and send me the logs :).

Yep, moolticute informs the mini ble when the computer gets locked. I'd like to make it more visual by waking up the device when this happens.
Modified date: creation date may have been added on the mini I think... so if your credential dates back from the original version, that could explain it.

Have a great day :)
Mathieu
