    Hello All:

What's the best way to import pwords from Lastpass?   I was able to export them to a html file
and convert it to an xml file.  So far so good, but when I try to import the result xml file into the
Mooltipass app on my Mac the app chokes and tells me that the file is "Not a valid backup file"
which seems to indicate to me the format of my import file is incorrect.

What's the best way to import from Lastpass?

    Any idea?    Thanks...   ---Fenton

Hello Fenton,

Have you looked at our user manual for the csv import feature?

Mathieu

   Hi Math:

I took your suggestion and RTFM's the manual which unfortunately doesn't mention the format of the csv file.

"You may import multiple credentials stored inside a CSV file by using the Import Credentials feature. Please
make sure the credentials are correctly formatted and in ASCII format. "

Hello Christopher,

This is our user manual, I'm not sure how we can better explain:

I did use the same procedure as Mathieu mentioned for .csv import of my LastPass passwords. Worked perfectly fine for me.

Cheers,
Stefan

Hi,

I did try crtl-l-i-m. No extra menu option was added to the Mooltipass app.
Maybe i'm not a power user? how can I become one?
Please help me to export and import my lastpass passwords.

Thanks!

Maurice.

Hello Maurice,

At the end of the ctrl-l-i-m, all 4 keys must be pressed.

Hi Mathieu,

That was not clear to me.
I have tried this and it worked.

Thanks!

Hullo Mathieu,

thanks once again for getting the Mooltipass Mini to me.

As it is a long weekend, I thought I would start by downloading and 'Reading The Fine Manual' - (2.539.477 bytes, last modified 2018-03-14 19:38:31 by 'Pauline')

Perhaps I am an ID10T, but I can not find any reference to importing CSV - and I have read the Fine Manual cover to cover. I also used the pdf reader's search functionality - there were a number of 'hits' on "import", including words like "important" :)

Additionally, in Moolticute, v0.12.7 (device firmware v1.2_mini / Serial 5607) I am unable to invoke the "Others" menu via ctrl+L+I+M. I used a tool called QiPress that showed that three keystrokes were listed sequentially, ^L, ^I, ^M. Other (possibly valid) combinations tried were "^L, then I, then M" to no avail. I have also run the program as "Administrator", just in case it required the elevated priv's. Perhaps this is functionality that has been removed? I also tried Alt+ those keys and (foolishly) WinKey+ - and locked my screen :D :D

With over 500 sites saved in Lastpass, you can see why, even though you recommend visiting each site individually and using Mootlipass to re-set your password, this is a 'big task'.

any further advice would be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Harry

Hello Harry!

Oh right, we haven't yet migrated the csv import feature to moolticute.
You'll therefore need to temporarily uninstall moolticute and install mooltiapp to use its csv import feature.
- mooltiapp can be downloaded here: https://github.com/limpkin/mooltiapp/releases
- install it, then use the ctrl-l-i-m shortcut to make the new tab appear.

Let me know if you have any question!

This did not work for me.  I uninstalled moolticute and installed mooltiapp and the ctrl-l-i-m didnt work.  I rebooted to see if that would help with the removal of moolticute and mooltiapp still didnt respond to ctrl-l-i-m command.

Do you know when you'll support CSV (e.g. lastpass) import in the future?  This is both not working and not something that I am willing to explain to the people who I convinced to buy the device, lol.

Hi John,

I was able to get the ctrl-l-i-m *press all of them at the same time" working.

However, I found the results less than 'stellar'.

I deleted all the imported entries, and have decided to run MooltiCute app and Lastpass in parallel and add the entries to the Mooltipass as I go to new sites.

Not as quick and easy as the CSV import would be, but I am finding it more reliable. It is, however, and opportunity to clear out some 'dead' sites too :)

Hope this helps,

Harry

I will do it your way.  But I still know a lot of people who might want a mooltipass who would not be willing to find all these work arounds.

It is also killing me that there is a 31 character password limit!
