I'm wondering if there is going to be a session three before the middle of August. I start the Guildhall on the 17th and I doubt I'll have much free time after that for awhile, so I'd like to get in another session if possible :D

I was thinking that we should hold our 3rd session sometime near the
end of July. We need to all meet for dinner sometime near the
beginning of July to discuss our next jam session. Is there any
evening between July 6th and July 10th that works best for everyone?

I vote for July 6th, but I'm free any one of those nights except the
8th.

July 6 sounds good to me. Who all else is available to meet that
evening? We can meet at the Panera on 75 & Campbell that evening.

How about you Evan? We need to make sure we get you in the next jam
session before school sweeps you away.

Whoops - thought I replied to this already. I can make it that day as long as it's 7pm or later (I work until 7)

7pm it is then. I'll probably be camping out there from 5pm until
they close at 9.

Our next meeting is scheduled to begin on August 7th, starting
whenever people can get away from their day jobs, going until Saturday
evening around the same time. Start times are going to be somewhat
more fluid this time due to differing works schedules, but it seems
like 7pm is generally a good meeting time. If you can't be there at
7pm, or are unable to stay for the duration of the session, I want you
to feel comfortable with coming and going as your schedule allows,
even if all you can do is stay for an hour and playtest the thing.
Also, the invitation is open to anyone you may want to invite along
for the ride.

We decided on the following list of general parameters for our next
game project:
* Fast-action.
* Single screen (kind like Tetris).
* Multiple players on one console (no networking!)
* All original content. Even if the art stinks, it means for if it
belongs to us.
* Have the completed game run on the XBox 360.

We all thought it would be cool to create something we could upload to
the LIVE Community/Indie Games.

Also, if any of you have art/sound content that you own, or pre-
existing C# code libraries that you wrote that you think may be
useful, bring them along for the ride!

As always, none of this is written in stone. Let us know what you
think.

Also, we're going to need a place to meet. If any of you know of a
place where we can host this party, let us know.

I can host at my place as long as McKinney isn't too far for too many
people. I have plenty of room/tables we can set up on.

For future reference, I can always host if we ever had/needed a split location. I just can't do the whole 24 hours....call it either "wife and kids" or more the truth...I'm just too old to stay up all night and then all day ;)

I'm in Carrollton

you will need to post your address.

Still on for my place. Heres the a link to the address

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=2412+Heads+and+Tails+Ln,+McKinney,+TX+75071&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=51.089971,78.662109&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=17

I have room for 8 comfortably right now, so if everyone will let me know if they are coming, I can make sure I have enough chairs for everyone.

Here's a quick list of what you'll need to bring:
* Some way to connect to wifi.
- I only have one outlet to plug into if you don't have a wifi adapter and it will be first come first serve
* A power strip
* $10 for food
- I plan on going brain food/caffiene shopping on Thursday so get your requests in. (I'll send out a reminder before I go)
* Computer

Must be a new house... Google Maps says that you live in a corn
field. :-)

I will definitely be there. We will need Mountain Dew.

What is the earliest you want people showing up?

would say start showing up starting at six to set up.

I think I've got two people from the Guildhall coming along with me.

Unfortunately I might have to work Saturday around 11 until 6 (our usual Saturday schedule now that we are in crunch), but we might not.

I'll let you guys know.

One day left!

So far we've got:

* Trey
* Even +2
* Matt (Maybe saturday morn)
* Me

I'm going to stock up tonight on the caffiene, so if you have any
requests let me know before 7ish. Here's a tenative list of what I'm
getting.

* Mountain Dew/Other sodas
* Red Bull/Monster
* Cookies
* Chips
* Frozen Pizzas

I set up a twitter account for the group (http://twitter.com/
moogle_lodge). I figured it would be cool to tweet throughout the
session so we kinda have a trascript of the happenings, and could also
use it to promote the group.

See everyone tomorrow night (I recommend trying to get a nap in before
you come if at all possible)

Good idea with twitter. I created a blogger account for our group
that I'm going to be copying our project summaries onto:
http://moogle-lodge.blogspot.com/

Plan to add all of us as authors of the blog when I get back to it...

Rick told me he plans to be there as well.

My wife and I are signing the lease on a new apartment this afternoon,
and my brain is completely fried from moving-related work + lack of
sleep. I've decided to join up with you all tomorrow morning. I'll
be bringing my graphics tablet along, so I can provide artistic backup
if necessary. Programming should be pretty well covered between
Criss, Evan, and Rick.

Just FYI, I work until 7 but we might have to work late to finish up this milestone. Like I mentioned before, 2 guys from the Guildhall said they are down, but they might decide against it the closer it comes to seven.

I'll keep you guys posted.

If those two don't come though, is it just the three of us tonight?

As far as I know now, it's just you me and Rick if your guys aren't coming. Then Trey and maybe Matt will be coming in the morn. I say still come if you can any time you can.

Everyone that is coming in the morning can stay posted through the Twitter feed.

I think I got two more programmers on board. What kind of knowledge do you guys have with XNA though? Trey was the big C# guru on our first game, but I wasn't there for the second so I don't know what type of experience we have in order to answer questions for the people that are new (like the 2 guys that are coming)

I really want to make sure that we have enough experience around to get some substantial work done until Trey shows up.

Awesome! The more the merrier.

I use c# at my job and I know enough about xna to be functional. I know Rick is also very knowledgeable in both c# and xna, so we should be able to answer most questions.

Hey guys.  Sorry, but I'm not going to be able to make it at all to the game jam.  I tweaked my back last night playing hockey and can barely walk/stand/sit without extreme pain.  Currently on pain pills right now and I'm about to go back to bed to rest up.  Hope everything is going good with you guys and keep drinking redbulls and starbucks!

make any difference.

So, how'd it go???
