As a 20 year Moody owner, I can't make it to the boat show. However, I didn't know that the MOA was still in existence. Please keep me posted and I would like to renew my membership.

I just want to let everyone know about a rendezvous that Michael and Sara Barrett are organizing in conjunction with the Annapolis Sailboat show. The rendezvous will be held on October 12 at the US Naval Academy. More info to come.

Hi Everyone,
We were delighted to receive the
note and learn that the Association
Is alive and active.
Although we shall not be able to attend the event, we shall be interested in receiving notes and photos.
We still keep our Moody 425 Big Bird in good shape, but after a dozen years of offshore winters, we are now limiting our sailing to coastal New England.
As a past Commodore of MOA I continue to be interested in cruise reports and other communications of the current Members.
Happy Sailing,
Louis and Anna Sebok

Hello Louis & Anna!
How wonderful to hear from you and to know you are still sailing Big Bird, even if it is only in New England waters now. David and I are still in Annapolis and busy with our business - Annapolis Hybrid Marine. We unfortunately can't make the get-together even though we are here due to the fact that we are exhibiting at the show and tied up with meetings with manufacturers and such. Our boat, On to Fortune, is on the hard awaiting some much needed work. However, the money is short and she must wait I am afraid. We miss sailing, but we will get back to it at some point. Please stay in touch with us directly through my email at SMRe...@gmail.com

Our Moody 419, Venture, is based in Portland, OR at the moment and we enjoy our weekends on the Columbia River. Considering re-powering with a Beta 50 and relocating back to the San Juan islands north of Seattle by next summer. If anyone is visiting the area you are welcome to come out for a sail.

Hi all
So glad to hear these great stories! Gitana Del Mar is also on the hard after an unexpected open heart surgery for Captain Michael. Thankfully he’s on the mend and we’ll be back in the water soon. As you all know, the hard is not very forgiving so I’m sure we’ve got a little clean up. Just thankful we have our health and determination.
Have a great time at the event.
