Hi,

The Netbeans 7.4 is really old, and pretty much unsupported so you probably should update to a newer version of netbeans anyway. However, it should in the updates window tell that you should update to a newer release of NetBeans.

I'll update the manual you found to tell that's it's out of date (it's for our courses held in 2012)

Current, uptodate version of netbeans is 8.1, and the peoper the installation guide is here: http://mooc.fi/courses/general/programming/how-to-get-started.html 

If you choose to install NetBeans 8.1 directly from https://netbeans.org/downloads/ (the Java SE version should be enough) you may follow these instuctions to install TMC plugin: https://github.com/UniversityHelsinkiTKTL/tmc-plugin-installation-guide/blob/master/TmcPluginToExistingNetBeans.md

OK, thanks. I uninstalled it and installed the latest version. Works OK now.
