Ifthree make a trend, well, this is a trend. Because now there is another instance of someone apparently leaking classified military documents to make sure that their tank video game more accurately conforms with reality.

A few months later, there was a second leak, this time because it was extremely important to someone out there that the French LeClerc Main Battle Tank have a more accurate depiction in a video game where people wage simulated war.

So while war may be hell, winning an argument online is apparently the most intense combat of all. And the gaming forums seem to be determined to explicitly detail just how bad that hell is. Which might just make a message board for a video game about tanks engaging in armored combat one of the leading distributors of operational security (OPSEC) violations.

Diep.io is an awesome tank-based multiplayer io game. In this game you control a tank and must destroy objects and other players to upgrade your weapons and stats. Another popular online tank game is BatteDudles.io. Fight other players in a huge arena on foot and in various vehicles. Finally, BlockTanks.io is a must-try classic featuring tank battles in close-quarters maze-like levels.

Tanki Online's history began in the late 90s - a prototype called Tanks for Two was developed on floppy disks, only to die out as technology moved from floppy disks to CDs and the developers lost their source code.[2] Later, in 2008, the developers would work together again on a demo called Tanks. The developers began working on a full-scale MMO action game based on this demo in 2009, which became Tanki Online.[3]

The game was presented in May 2009 at the Russian Game Developers Conference 2009 conference, where it won "Best Non-Publisher Game" and "Best Technology" awards.[4]Tanki Online used the company's own game engine, Alternativa3D, which ran on the Adobe Flash platform. The release took place in the same year.

It is considered the most popular game of the company, bringing $7 million in annual revenue with 2 million players per month (of whom 90% are from Russia). In 2013, the number of registered users in the game reached 20 million, every day there were about 90,000 battles played totaling more than 700 000 game hours, and the maximum number of players online was 60,000.

In the late 2009 work on a new game - Tanki 2.0 began, however the project was eventually cancelled. Step by step, the ideas planned for Tanki 2.0 would instead be implemented in the existing game.

From September 12, 2019, due to the discontinuation of Adobe Flash Player, the game engine was changed from Flash to HTML5, making it another client for the game. The new version had an updated interface and some other visual components. At the end of 2021, the Flash version of Tanki Online was discontinued, leaving HTML5 as the only playable version.

The gameplay of Tanki Online has some parallels with the 1985 game Battle City. Unlike Battle City, the basis of the gameplay of Tanki Online is a player versus player system. Players compete with each other: every destroyed tank counts a frag and the player who made the frag receives experience points.

The game has several battle modes (including teamplay-based modes), a system of military ranks and a lot of options for tank customization. Instead of choosing a tank from a pre-made list, players are encouraged to assemble their own battle machine, combining turrets, hulls, protective modules, drones, and decorative paints, according to their preferences.

When the player is finished with customizing their tank, they can enter into a battle with other players, where, in addition to experience points, they can earn one of the game currency - crystals. Moving up the career ladder, they open up access to new options and products.

Crystals are used to purchase equipment (turrets, hulls, protective modules and drones) in the garage, augments for turrets and supplies. Crystals are earned by playing in battles, completing challenges (Battle Pass), opening weekly and regular containers, opening coinboxes, taking Gold Boxes (drop boxes that contain 1000 crystals), exchanging Tankoins, using promocodes, and participating in contests from the game helpers and developers.

Players can buy regular containers, coinboxes, crystals, sets, skins, paints, the ability to change their nickname, a clan license, and Gold Boxes for Tankoins. Tankoins are earned by completing challenges, opening weekly containers, opening coinboxes, purchasing them with real money, using promocodes, and participating in contests from the game helpers and developers.

Select the number of players, then you may see the controls for each player. You may also change each player's name and their main color. Once the game starts, press the corresponding fire keys and arrow keys to control the tanks and kill other players. Collect powerups by driving over them to gain advantages in battle.

The game can be played in many different ways, including ways in which you can earn real digital assets. There are free-to-play and pay-to-enter tournaments, play-for-pot, and play-and-earn game modes.

Tanks is a multiplayer collaborative chess-like game requiring strategic prowess to win. Capitalise on map features (choke points, obstacles and barriers), your tanks abilities (such as speed, durability) and harness your potential to lead and influence (make allies then betray) to win.

Players can earn SCRAPS tokens, real digital assets backed by web3 and the blockchain simply by playing Tanks For Playing. In-game activities such as destroying a tank or winning a game increase your earnings. To partake in the play-and-earn game mode, you will need access to a Tank NFT. These can be purchased on our marketplace or on OpenSea or you can borrow one on our NFT lending and borrowing platform to play in the play-and-earn game mode.

Players and digital asset holders can come together to create agreements to facilitate the lending and borrowing of NFTs on our NFT lending and borrowing platform. Agreement arrangements include time based borrowing and profit splitting.

In World of Tanks, players operate tanks or artillery vehicles (often called tank destroyers) in various maps. You can control one vehicle for each battle, which you select from the available ones in your garages.

Vehicles in World of Tanks are differentiated based on their type. Light tanks, medium tanks, heavy tanks, tank destroyers, and self-propelled artillery vehicles. Most of these vehicles are from historical designs from the nations of Britain, China, Czechoslovakia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Poland, the Soviet Union, Sweden, and the United States.

Players can also purchase or unlock premium armored vehicles that are based on never-produced blueprints or completely fictional ones, such as those from the Warhammer 40K universe. Players can further customize their vehicle appearances and performance. Upgrades can be unlocked through experience or through in-game purchases.

World of Tanks offers various modes of play, including random lobby battles, to platoon group battles. Players can also establish Clans, which lets large group of World of Tanks players pool their experience and resource to hold Strongholds, allowing them to control up to four zones that house structures. Structures generate resources or help produce boosts and other tools that are useful in battle, including calling in airstrikes. There is also the Global Map which lets clans take control of provinces during tournaments which can generate gold for the controlling clan.

For Arcade Ground Battles:

You collect points by killing enemy vehicles, collecting assists or scouting an enemy before he is killed. A player can start an aircraft battle in an attacker or bomber should they have enough points, and other players can join him in fighters, either to defend or attack the initiating player. Only one battle can take place at the same time.

For one point, you can join a starting battle in a fighter aircraft (to attack an enemy or defend a friendly)

For two points, you can start a battle with an attacker (fighting against two fighters and having one ally max)

For three points, you can start with a bomber (fighting against three fighters and having two allies max)

Usually, only one attacker of bomber may be in the air at the same time, but I have seen exceptions to the rule.

For Realistic Ground Battles:

You need to have an aircraft in your lineup with tanks.

When joining a match, you need to spawn with a tank and collect enough spawn points through playing the game (shooting & killing enemie vehicles, capping or reconnaissance) to spawn in an aircraft that you put in your lineup (taking a plane with a loadout like bombs increases spawnpoint costs)

For Simulator Ground Battles:

You need to have an aircraft in your lineup with tanks.

You can choose to spawn in an aircraft at the beginning of a match.
