Pheromone (Montreal, QC, Canada) is looking for a Web developer. We
have a ton of challenging web development for Web sites with very
high
traffic. Your obsessed with unit testing and performance
optimization.
You know MVC programming. You understand Web Architecture and you
sing
RFC 2616 verses taking your morning shower. You know the differences
between mime type and Marcel Marceau. Roy Fielding is your hero. We
care more about what you have actually done on and for the Web more
than your diploma.



You must have/be/know:


* native in Ruby
* Web architecture, HTTP knowledge and understanding, HTML semantics
practice
* Ability to reuse codes and not reinvent the wheel
* Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other
technical and non-technical staff members
* Good knowledge of SQL
* Solid understanding of JavaScript including browser compatibility
issues.
* Familiarity with Agile, Test/Behavior Driven Development


Nice to have:

* English
* Rails, Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, other frameworks
* Participation to open source projects. Don't be shy, share them.
* C++


Job Responsibilities:

* Develops backend code for Pheromone clients
* *Maintains* and modifies existing applications
* Participates in peer code reviews
* Evaluates software design/architecture with the project manager
* Challenges the Development director and Web architect
