Hi,

I am a french guy and I think about come works to Montréal. In france, I
am a Rails developer. I contribute on several open source projects in
Rails. But I ask me a question about Montréal.

Are there several job positions in Ruby/RubyOnRails ?

Thanks for your answer.

Best regards

Hi Cyril,

Your best bet for Rails openings in Montreal would probably be the
standoutjobs website. I looked there recently and there were at least
4-5 jobs offers that I remember.

Yes there are! You've in fact found a pretty active Ruby/Rails community in Montreal on Rails.

It so happens that there's a meeting tonight, you should come, you won't regret it :-) 2 presentations are planned, and afterwards we go eat and drink a bit together.

Aussi, une bonne partie du monde parle français ;-)

By the way, 2 of the Merb core team member are francophone and the recommended adapter for Merb is thin (made in Canada) ;)

Somehow I feel the Montreal community should embrace Merb :p

Just saying...

To save you the trouble of searching for it, here's the place. It's happening tonight at 6:30. At the StandoutJobs office. Take the elevator to the 6th, suite 615. You can't miss it when you're on 6th floor.

That's what I've been doing for quite some time ;-) We've been using
Merb for almost a year now. Love it!

Sept 2010! Holy cow, that seems like excessive early planning to me.
