Hi all

I'd like to organize two meeting in May. The first would be in roughly two weeks and would be working on www.4clojure.com problems, getting people new to clojure started, and code golfing some of the problems if people are interested. For the second, I was contacted by Bruce Hauman, author of https://github.com/bhauman/lein-figwheel, about giving a talk. He did a talk at Clojure/West this year about it. Check it out! He'll be in town in May. We haven't agreed on a particular date though, but I was thinking towards the end of May, maybe early in the final week.

Are people interested in one or both meetups, and what dates work for everyone? I'll throw out two just to get the ball rolling: May 14 and May 27.

We'd likely host both meetups at Brandicted's office, thanks to Chris Hart.

OGM! I just watched Bruce's presentation today. Sounds like a great plan.

I'm not sure I'll be able to attend no matter what the dates are, so I'll let the majority agree on dates.

Argh... Too bad, I leave for Morocco tomorrow and won't be back before
mid-July.

I have been using figwheel for a few months now and this tool is invaluable.
Anyone has an iPad ? I would attend remotely :)

I think I could arrange to come to Montreal when Bruce comes.
May 27 looks fine to me; any night on that week looks fine.

Sounds awesome! I'll mark both of those days in the calendar. Been using Figwheel on a side project, and I love it! Thanks Chris for letting us use your offices :)

Cheers

Sorry Luc, I have an iPad (older model, 2 I think, will that work?). Might be good to have somebody else with a backup, in case I can't make it for some reason..

That's great. I still use a model 2 for my remote meetings and Facetime is doing a great
job. People don't realize it until they ask that I am 5500kms away or until they ear
the prayer call (the mosq is not too far away :).

My facetime id is my email. If anyone can bring it's own device (even an iPhone)
just in case that would be great.

Thank you,
Luc

I've created an event for the Figwheel talk on May 27th:
http://www.meetup.com/Lambda-Lounge-Montreal/events/222645722/

As I say in the event I haven't been able to confirm the date with
Bruce yet, but I figured with only a week left I should create the
event regardless.

Hi guys

I think everyone who RSVPed to the meetup event will have been emailed
already, but here's a email for anyone not on the event.

Unfortunately Bruce's travel plan's changed and he isn't able to do
the talk. I changed the event description to be about intro to clojure
and working on 4clojure problems. If anyone has a topic they'd like to
present, let me know and we could do that before working on 4clojure.
Maybe someone has used figwheel in an app and can show what the work
flow is like and what needs to be done to keep the code reloadable?
