Hello all, I am looking forward to seeing you at death meditation this evening.
We will sit for death meditation (Maranasati) tonight, Friday February 6th, 2026 from 5:00 - 6:15pm, and continue on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month.
Meditation on death awareness is one of the oldest practices in all Buddhist traditions. In the words of the Buddha, “of all the footprints, that of the elephant is supreme. Similarly, of all mindfulness meditation, that on death is supreme.”
Please, come to my office at 15 State Street in Montpelier, Suite 203 on the second floor. I have pillows and blankets as well as some chairs for your use. Feel free to bring your own meditation cushions or zabutons if you'd like.
See you soon and please reach out if you have any questions,
Mollie McElroy (she/they)
death doula & grief counselor
“Death is our friend precisely because it brings us into absolute and passionate presence with all that is here, that is natural, that is love… Life always says Yes and No simultaneously. Death (I implore you to believe) is the true Yea-sayer. It stands before eternity and says only: Yes.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke
