Hello my friends, I hope you are well. I am looking forward to seeing you at death meditation this Friday. We will sit for death meditation (Maranasati) this week on April 2nd, 2026 from 5:00 - 6:15pm, and continue on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month.

Please, come to my office at 15 State Street in Montpelier, Suite 203 on the second floor. I have pillows and blankets as well as some chairs for your use. Feel free to bring your own meditation cushions or zabutons if you'd like.

See you soon and please reach out if you have any questions,

"Acceptance is liberating. It’s counterintuitive, but the avoidance of our mortality is the very thing that continues to perpetuate our cycle of suffering. Contemplation of death changes this because it forces us to awaken to the present moment. Instead of sleepwalking through parts of our lives, we can become mindful of our mortality, shift our perspective, and our life itself."

- Chris Pacheco, The Life-Changing Practice of Death Awareness

Hi all,

It seems as though we can't catch a break with death meditation the past few weeks with the snow squalls and icy weather, but I am trusting this and hope you are taking good care.  Today, I am writing to cancel meditation because I am not feeling well.  I want to make sure I stay well and don't pass whatever I have onto you, so I'm staying home to rest and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

The next time we will sit for meditation will be the first Friday in MAY.  We will not have meditation the 3rd Friday of this month (April 17th) because I will be out of town.  So, I hope you enjoy the month of April, that you stay healthy and well, and I'll see you May 1st, 2026.  I'll send out reminders in 2 weeks and then again as we get closer to May 1st.

Take care,
Mollie McElroy (she/they)
