Severe Storm Watch

The Storm Prediction Center will be issuing a TORNADO Watch, effective til 9 pm for Vermont and Northern New York very shortly. The main threat is strong damaging winds and large hail up to golf ball size. However, there is a chance of a few tornadoes as well. Again, not to be overshadowed by the WATCH is there's a FLASH FLOOD WATCH that's in effect for much of Vermont and Northern NY until Midnight. 

The thunderstorms will also produce heavy downpours -- and given that some areas received 1-2" of rain in the overnight/morning round of thunderstorms, there is a possibility for localized flash flooding.
