Please Sign Up for New Emergency Notification System

Hello!

The city has subscribed to a new service called Blackboard Connect that will allow us to make phone calls, send text messages, send e-mails, and page people who would like to be notified of emergencies.  The database we have already includes some phone numbers that were already publicly available in the phone book.  Now that so many people depend on cell phones, however, we can’t be sure that we will have the information you would like us to use.

 

If you would like us to contact you, please visit the city’s web site:  www.montpelier-vt.org, scroll down to the bottom of the home page, and click on “Sign up now for Blackboard Connect.”  That will take you to a sign in page, where you will see a prompt that says “Sign me up!”  If you click on this link, the program will allow you to enter several phones or other ways to contact you, and to select which type of messages you would like to receive.  It might be more successful if you do it using a common browser, like Internet Explorer or Mozilla.  Please let us know if you have problems.
