McElhenney Family Donates Land to City

Naming the "McElhenney Oak Grove" as legal description will be on consent agenda on Thurs @ beginning of council. Expect it to pass without discussion. I will go because of the unknown?! discussion or disagreement. If no one signs up it will pass on consent.
Next council mtg on Feb 2 the M family will be receiving a proclamation for donating the land. Think the family would be happy to have all of us there to thank them & for y'all to be recognized as part of the presentation.

We're pleased that you will be joining us next month to be recognized for your donation of land to the City. Proclamations are presented at 5:30 p.m.here in council chambers, 301 W. 2nd St. http://maps.google.com/?q=30.264979+-97.747078+%28301+W.+2nd+Street%2C+Austin%2C+TX%2C+78701%2C+us%29. Parking is available in our underground lot free of charge. After you enter off Lavaca St., which is one way headed north, you just follow the signs to visitor parking. Then take the stairs or elevator to the first level, enter through security and then please meet me by the tables in the atrium area. I need to speak to you at about 5:15 or 5:20 p.m. to let you know how things will proceed in the chambers. Bring your parking ticket in with you to be validated by the parking personnel in the atrium.
The meeting is televised and Channel 6 also will be taking still photos that I will send you soon after the meeting. You're welcome to invite friends and family to attend with you. There is plenty of seating in Council Chambers.
