Welcome to the GRUMPs! This forum is for group announcements as well as general questions about R to other group members.

There are several other good resources for asking questions about R, including StackOverflow. They can and will reach considerably more people, but at times can be daunting if you don’t know how best to ask the question (such as by producing a reproducible example). In this forum, though basic guidelines on questions are preferred, we’ll strive to be friendly and accommodating (and perhaps help you learn how to frame a better question).

Our “norm” (loosely defined) is to alternate meetings between a weekday afternoon/evening session and a Friday brown-bag lunch. Especially during this formative period, we’re amenable to more discussion about better venues and schedules. If you have something interesting in R that you want to share, let me know!
