The Montana Historical Society is proud to renew its participation in National History Day, a nationwide contest that makes history come alive for America's youth by engaging them in the discovery of the historic, cultural and social experiences of the past. We've posted information about History Day on our website: http://mhs.mt.gov/education/HistoryDay.asp.

Montana's participation in National History Day is spearheaded by Montana State University--Billings. For more information on joining in on the excitement, contact Dr. Thomas C. Rust at 406-657-2903 or tr...@msubillings.edu. You can also visit the Montana History Day website or the National History Day website.

And--since we believe that the strongest History Day projects are those that apply the national theme to local and regional topics, we've created a list of likely Montana topics relating to this year's theme:  Innovation in History: Impact and Change.

Visit http://mhs.mt.gov/education/HistoryDay.asp for more details.
