Hi all,

Thanks so much for inviting me to participate in this effort.

A bit about me: I started doing research for my dissertation in Jarai
villages in Cambodia in 2005. My research looks at Jarai farming,
history, and memory. From 2005 to 2007 I lived in a Jarai village
close to the Vietnam border in Andong Meas district, Ratanakiri
province, Cambodia. I continue to visit the villages there, and to
speak with my friends there by phone. I've also visited the Montagnard
communities in Raleigh, Charlotte and Greensboro during a brief trip
in 2008, and I hope to deepen those connections over time.

I'm very glad to be in communication with you. I'm just reading
through previous emails and materials here and hope to have something
to contribute as the discussion unfolds.
