Mamba Point Hotel Vacancy Announcements!


The Mamba Point Hotel is seeking to recruit qualified candidates for the
following positions. Applications (form attached) should be submitted to the
Hotel Front Desk or in...@mambapointhotel.com no later than June 7, 2013 by
5:00 pm.


1. NIGHT SHIFT RECEPTIONIST - WITH A PROVEN ABILITY TO STAY AWAKE ALL
NIGHT

Position includes performing front desk agent and night audit duties. The
incumbent compiles daily sales reports, takes phone and in-person
reservations, answers switchboard, checks guests in and out, operates cash
register, and prepares guests' bills. Position also works outside of night
shifts periodically to ensure team relationship and participate in
supervision, appraisal and training. S/he performs basic housekeeping
duties.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: A university degree (three years of study) in accounting,
computer science, hospitality management, culinary arts, business
management, social sciences, mass communication, public relations, or
literature. Previous Work Experience: none. Language Proficiency: Fluency
in Written, Spoken, Reading English. Language proficiency will be tested.
Knowledge, abilities and skills: The ability to stay awake all night.
Excellent customer facing skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability
to follow directions and work with minimum supervision and comfortable with
conflict resolution. Excellent oral communication skills, including concise
and well structured reporting. Dependable and able to remain alert during
late shifts. Ability to work while standing and under conditions of high
temperature and humidity. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects. Must be
computer literate with a strong knowledge of relevant software application.


2. NIGHT SHIFT BELL BOY - WITH A PROVEN ABILITY TO STAY AWAKE ALL NIGHT

The incumbent performs night-time porter duties; s/he greets guests and
assists with luggage while demonstrating exemplary customer service skills.
S/he responds to and resolves all guest concerns in a manner, which promotes
guest loyalty. Also works outside of night shifts periodically to ensure
team relationship and participate in supervision, appraisal and training.
S/he performs basic housekeeping duties.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Minimum of two years of university studies in computer science,
hospitality management, culinary arts, business management, social sciences,
mass communication, public relations, or literature. Previous Work
Experience None. Language Proficiency: Fluency in Written, Spoken, Reading
English. Language proficiency will be tested. Knowledge, abilities and
skills: The ability to stay awake all night. Excellent customer facing
skills. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent oral communication
skills, including concise and well structured reporting. Ability to deal
with telephone calls and handle enquiries. Ability to work while standing
and under conditions of high temperature and humidity. Ability to lift and
carry heavy objects.


3.CASHIER (BARRACUDA SUSHI BAR)

The incumbent is primarily responsible for maintaining a high level of
service to all our guests at all times. S/he prints invoices and records
transactions while ensuring that all payments are handled with care so as no
shortages occur.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: At least two years of university studies in accounting,
mathematics, computer science, hospitality management, culinary arts,
business management, social sciences, mass communication, public relations,
or literature. Previous Work Experience: None. Language Proficiency: Fluency
in Written, Spoken, Reading English. Knowledge, abilities and skills: Good
knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Knowledge of basic
arithmetic, basic skills in handling and counting cash. Working ability to
communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must be computer
literate with basic knowledge of relevant software application.


4.BARTENDER_WAITER (BARRACUDA SUSHI BAR)

The incumbent is primarily responsible for maintaining a high level of
service to all our guests at all times. S/he takes drinks and food orders
from customers and other restaurant employees passing orders through to
kitchen and bar immediately. S/he mixes and serves drinks in an appropriate
and courteous manner.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School diploma. Previous Work Experience: None. Language
Proficiency: Fluency in Written, Spoken, Reading English. Knowledge,
abilities and skills: Good knowledge of customer service principles and
practices. Knowledge of basic arithmetic. Working ability to communicate
effectively, both orally and in writing. Basic knowledge of principles and
methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. Must be
computer literate with basic knowledge of relevant software application.


5. RESTAURANT JANITOR

REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School diploma. Previous Work Experience: none. Language:
Fluency in Written, Spoken, Reading English. Language proficiency will be
tested. Knowledge, abilities and skills: Knowledge of the materials,
methods, and practices used in cleaning operations. Ability to learn routine
machine operations common to cleaning work. Ability to learn and observe
safety precautions required in cleaning operations. Ability to work while
standing and under conditions of high temperature and humidity. Ability to
lift and carry heavy objects. Ability to understand and follow written and
oral instructions.
