Town Meeting

To All,
This Wednesday at 7PM at the town hall there will be a special town
meeting. Most of the issues are money issues that should have been
taken care of at the regular town meeting. The non money issue is to
remove the power of the people of Monroe to decide who will be the
Town Clerk. Should this pass the position of town clerk will be
appointed. This of course will concentrate power in the hands of few
and go against what has been the tradition in Monroe for years on years.

This is only natural as the town is in the hands of only a few
anyway. All meetings we have had this year have been run (badly I
might add) by this small faction that represent one political faction.
Your local and state and federal votes are also counted by only one
party with very little accountability. This is largely so because most
people in Monroe are turned off by what is and has been going on in
town for years now.

We are going to stand up and vote for democracy or sit back and takes
what comes from these few.
