Updates for the future of MLUG or anything related to it

Hello again,

  I would like to start off by asking the simple question of is there any interest in a technology related group still?  I'm just asking about interest not if you can fit it into your schedule.

With that I would like to go on about a new idea some of us have had.  There is a lot more interest in technology than just in Linux.  As a matter of fact I spent the last few months running Windows 7 which is kind of how the idea came about.  We would like to reform MLUG into a general geek/technology group with roughly the same ideas.  We just want more interest for people looking in and those already in.  I'm looking for half a dozen to a dozen dedicated members to help in forming this group.  We want to do it right this time around.  We are looking at a new facility that College Place Baptist Church has been working on for a new ministry that they have started.  We could help this ministry grow and they can help us grow.  We will have a lot more freedom than before with College Place and other places we have been at.  Aside from our usual donations of very old PC's Play  N Trade of West Monroe has donated an Arcade Machine to us so that we can build an Arcade Emulator and CPBC (College Place) is very much for housing this machine for use with the new ministry since we will be in the same place.  This new group will be for geeks, nerds, gamers, makers, and anyone else tech savvy so if that's you please let us know.  You can respond to the email and you can also still reach us at the same MLUG Phone Number: 318) 406-0039.
