I seem to be unable to checkout the source code from the subversion
repository. I keep getting an error:

"svn: XML data was not well-formed".

I have seen this error message linked to UTF-8 encoding issues but all
the fixes I know of require a change to the repository. Is anyone
else getting this issue? Possible workarounds?
