I saw this post on the ubuntu-uk list, I live in cardiff, so could
potentially be involved, though I haven't heard of hackerspaces
before! Sounds like a good idea, but one that would need lots of
volunteers to work?
Have you been in contact with the swlug?

Yup, that's why I'm seeing if there's enough interest before actually
starting it!

Hey,

Just stumbled on the mailing list in my daily Google searches. I'm one
of the founders of the hackerspace in Birmingham, fizzPOP (http://
www.fizzpop.org.uk). If you need any guidance feel free to ask!
There's also a mailing list on www.hackerspaces.org and a small
directory of UK hackerspaces on http://hackspace.org.uk/ where you can
get more advice
