Hi,
I haven't followed up with the details I had indicated I would in my last post. Spare time is still proving to be quite difficult to come by.
However, what I can do without any extra time is keep a public record of the material I'm reading/researching. I use a research tool called Zotero for managing my growing collection of research and so publishing my reading list is as simple for me as flicking a switch to make it publicly viewable.
So for those who are interested, you will find my reading list here:
This list will be continually updated in real-time as I read and carry out my research.
When you go to that link, you will see a summary of articles/pages/posts that I have recorded. Click on the title and that will take you to a page with a link to the original article. On some occasions it may also include some attachments or notes I've made concerning that material.
To be clear, this list does not cover everything I read on the subject of economics and finance. Rather, it's only the material that I think is particularly important/remarkable. And I'm not only recording material that I agree with. In fact, sometimes I may be recording material that I strongly disagree with. Most of the time I will not provide any comment to clarify whether or not I disagree or agree with the material, but if you follow me for a while it should normally not be too difficult to guess my position on the content.
This will probably only be of interest to people who have a more intense interest in the subject than most.
For those who don't share a keen interest and want just the "big picture" I will still attempt to send out posts at critical junctures.
Cheers
John
