WS1010 analog portable

WS1025 analog mobile

WS1040 digital portable (PRO-106 clone - note: not PSR500 clone)

WS1065 digital mobile (PSR-600 / PRO-197 clone)

July timeframe

WS1080 basic digital portable (PSR-800 / PRO-108 clone)

WS1095 basic digital mobile (PSR-900 clone / note is unit was never manufactured by GRE)

Basic means there is no keyboard - just basic controls - like the PSR-800

There are Yahoogroups for the new models as well as the PRO-650 and 651 Radio Shack models which are the 1040 and 1065 units rebranded. For the groups, just use WSxxxx or PRO-65x as the group names added to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/

Hi Sean,

Thanks for posting that. If I read this correctly, there isn’t a PSR500 model, yet, right?

Hopefully, they’ll spin one of those as well, perhaps with enhancements.

Heyya there Ron:

What it looks to me like is what we knew as the 500 will become the 1040. I've checked the following link which will give you a much better account than that forwarded email. My understanding is that these will be avaible for purchase in mid April, apparently the old 800 type scanners will come along in mid July. Again, give the link some lookage.

We'll keep discussing here as we find new things.

Also I'm awaiting a full report from a friend of mine on the new Uniden BC 436 & 536 models which have come out. I'm not sure if he's gotten his yet or not.

If anyone is interested in joining the groups listed below, feel free. There are also groups which continue to be devoted to the GRE scanners as well as the Uniden scanners. Just search yahoo groups for them. Although as most of you know yahoo groups isn't very screen reader friendly nor is google groups now for that matter.
